“If I hear that one more time . . .”

Cliche I’m tired of hearing:

“Think outside the box.” (And any form of it.)

ย Feel free to share your least favorite (or most overused) cliche.

  1. Cameron have you been visiting Taco Belles to much and got indigestion ?

My most overused is ” Its so easy a cave man could do it ?

    Blessings.
    Ron.

  2. “That’s what its all about,” (whether talking about sports, Jesus, or whatever),

    and

“Let’s take it to the next level.” This one I just don’t get. It kind of creeps me out.

  3. How bout’, “You’re being too judgmental” (in any form).

“You’re being too Pharisetical” (in any form).

“Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone” (when used to dismiss a particular sin without quoting Jesus next command to the harlot, “go and sin to more.”)

    TBH

  4. Ron,
I try not to ever think about Taco Bell! :0

    jel,
There is no such thing as too much Starbucks coffee.

    Tony,
Amen on both of those! A similar one for me is: “It is what it is.” (I say, but generally in a sarcastic way.)

    Travis,
Isn’t it amazing how selective some can be with Scripture? Most people who bandy about “legalist,” “Pharisee,” or “judgmental,” have little idea what they are talking about!

  5. Hey, Cameron! Good to have you back. I love cliche’s. They help me to think outside the box and that’s what it’s all about. They help me to take my speaking and writing to the next level and they make modern communication so easy, a caveman could do it.

  6. Thanks, Pastor Garry! Glad to see you brought your “A” game to the table.

jel, that saying works more often than most people realize. ๐Ÿ™‚
