MacArthur on Christian Strength

In light of last week’s posts, I thought this was a good way to start off the week:

“Strength is a virtue greatly needed in today’s church, in this era of vacillation, compromise, and weakness. We live in a time in which many within the church are unwilling to hold strong doctrinal convictions because they think they’ll come across as unloving.  But that’s not what the prophets, apostles, and Reformers would have done because it’s not scriptural.   The church does not need weak pastors preaching weak messages to weak congregations — it needs strength of character derived from a biblical foundation.”
