Last night I had the privilege to attend the Seventh Annual Evangelical Forum held at the Jefferson Park Baptist Church. Pastor Jeff Riddle and the congregation hosted an excellent service.
The meeting has a decidedly theological focus, and the theme this year was “Of God and the Holy Trinity.” Dr. Joseph Pipa brought an outstanding exposition of Exodus 34:1-10 and the goodness of God, and Dr. Bruce Ware gave a thoroughly Scriptural presentation on “The Transcendent Excellence and Perfection of God.” Both men spoke with refreshing joy and evident passion.
The entire service centered on God and His glory and was a wonderful opportunity for worship. I came away with an appreciation for those dedicated to knowing God, but even more so with a reverence for the overwhelming greatness and goodness of God.
