Archaeologists have uncovered the remains of a fourth century church in the city of Laodicea. Understandably, the team was anything but lukewarm about their findings.
The church from the fourth century A.D. was found by underground radar search, a system they have tried this year for the first time. “The major part of the church, which is built on an area of 2,000 square meters, has kept its original [status].”
As a side note, the article should be clarified – it gives the impression that the Revelation was written to those who worshiped in this building. Actually, since Revelation dates to the first century, it was addressed rather to their spiritual ancestors. Same “church,” different generation.HT
